1. Christian Boss. I have found a Swiss family tree that contains all the Boss given names in this family, and a Dutch tree in early New York with many similar given names. I tend to believe they were Swiss and probably speaking German, as Henry was said to have had a very strong accent, leading to the confusion about the Boss/ Poss name.
